Supervisor Competency
Pajak Engineering has made a significant commitment to invest in the competency of the consultants we represent.
At its root the term competency refers to whether a person is; adequately qualified, suitably trained, and with sufficient experience to safely perform work without supervision or with only a minimal degree of supervision.
Pajak has developed a Supervisor Competency program that captures information related to an individual’s qualifications, experience, training and desired career direction that highlights specific value consultants provide the oil and gas industry.
The Supervisor Competency program holds value at its core. Value to clients by which they are provided with
suitable, professional and competent supervisors that instill confidence that all facets of work will be managed well. Value to the oil and gas industry by providing numerous competent and skilled workers to the industry in order provide workforce stability. Value to consultants in order to further develop skills and provide career development opportunities within the oil and gas industry. Lastly, value to Pajak in terms of building a team of qualified, competent supervisors that are marketable within the oil and gas industry.
Pajak provides consultants with opportunities to expand their competency through various training events. In person training at annual spring meetings, on-line training modules using Pajak’s eLearning initiatives or a variety of industry sanctioned certifications and courses.
On-going, long term competency evaluation is a critical component of the Supervisor Competency program at Pajak.
All consultants have their competency assessed numerous times through behavior based observations, performance evaluations or client specific evaluation methods. This allows for consultant specific competency improvement plans to be developed and implemented.
